COURSE OVERVIEW

This 1 day practical skills course for the general public provides hands on experience and the ideal introduction to the skills involved to create paving (porcelain paving and natural stone) projects at home.

This course is 90% hands on and 10% classroom with lots of content, providing a great opportunity to learn and develop some basic practical landscaping skills and boost your confidence.

Our courses are all taught by leading industry experts and those who complete them will be provided with a TASK Skills Certificate.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • Paving - Techniques of using natural stone, reconstituted ecological concrete and porcelain paving.

  • Porcelain - Lay an area of porcelain and natural paving demonstrating priming slurry, laying techniques and grout.

  • Setting out and levels using Pythagoras theorem and other geometric principles

GOOD TO KNOW

  • Lunch is not included, we recommend you bring your own packed lunch for each day

  • One month before the date of the course, you will receive a course confirmation email with further information and course joining instructions which includes what to bring with you.

  • There is currently no accommodation available at Lower End Farm for TASK students. There are plenty of local accommodation possibilities, please contact us for a range of options.

  • Participants are required to have a minimum level 2 in English and Maths.
